Senior Field Environmental Scientist

At TechLaw Consultants Inc And Subsidiaries, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Field Environmental Scientist to join our team in Denver, Colorado. As a key member of our Environmental Services Assistance Team, you will play a critical role in supporting our environmental sampling efforts, including groundwater, surface water, and other media.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect water samples from lotic and lentic environments
  • Operate GPS and electronic data collection devices
  • Provide cartographic support using GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIC Pro, Survey123, and SQL Server
  • Operate Flow Tracker flow meters and other stream discharge measurement devices
  • Operate and maintain water quality meters
  • Collect groundwater samples using bladder pumps, peristaltic pumps, and bailers
  • Collect and characterize mine waste
  • Collect biota samples (vegetation, fish, birds, invertebrates, etc.)
  • Develop Sampling and Analysis Plans/ Quality Assurance Project Plans
  • Write Sampling Activities Reports
Requirements:
  • BS or BA degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology or related science background
  • A minimum of ten years experience in environmental analysis
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Good written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
  • Legal U.S. citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain state and federal security clearances
  • At least 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license and safe driving record
