Job Description and Duties

State Compensation Insurance Fund is seeking an experienced Executive Vice President of Public Affairs to lead our marketing and public affairs efforts. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote our brand and reputation, as well as driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and public affairs plans to achieve business objectives
  • Lead a team of professionals in marketing, communications, and public affairs to ensure effective execution of plans
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive business growth and success
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government officials, and industry partners
  • Develop and implement crisis communications plans to ensure effective response to emerging issues
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience in marketing, communications, or public affairs
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and public affairs campaigns
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems
Working Conditions:

Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office with expenses for attendance paid by State Fund. Candidates must reside in California to be eligible for this appointment. Telework may be available and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs.
