Role Summary:
As the Senior Marketing Manager for Growth Initiatives at Octave, you will be instrumental in spearheading new member acquisition through paid marketing avenues. Your main objective will be to craft and implement innovative campaign strategies across Search and Social platforms that drive conversions, enhance brand visibility, and generate revenue. You will also oversee the investigation of new channel expansions aimed at achieving incremental conversions with an efficient customer acquisition cost (CAC). This position requires a profound understanding of the critical metrics that underpin success and a commitment to optimizing return on investment (ROI). Collaboration with product, design, content, agencies, paid channel specialists, and business intelligence teams will be crucial in identifying growth opportunities throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creative Problem-Solving: Exhibit high levels of creativity and resourcefulness in developing solutions that surpass traditional methods; design campaign strategies and execute new customer acquisition tactics across various paid channels.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage substantial budgets, optimizing creative assets, target demographics, and marketing channels to achieve customer acquisition cost (CAC) objectives.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead efforts to attract new clients through diverse channels, including Paid Social, Affiliate Marketing, and Direct Mail; monitor and analyze campaign performance, making necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes.
  • Analytical Partnership: Collaborate with Analytics teams to create detailed reports on marketing performance; assess, analyze, and communicate weekly paid media performance to internal stakeholders and senior management while strategically considering long-term channel success drivers.
  • Channel Performance Forecasting: Leverage historical data and market insights to predict paid channel performance, guiding budget allocation and resource planning.
  • Creative Testing and Conversion Rate Optimization: Design and implement A/B tests to refine various elements of the customer journey, including ad copy, landing pages, and bidding strategies, to boost conversion rates and CAC efficiency.
  • Market Analysis: Keep an eye on competitor activities, market trends, and consumer behavior to uncover strategic opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including BI, product, finance, branding, communications, and design, to align paid marketing strategies with overarching business goals; ensure understanding and support for strategies and initiatives.
  • Creative Insight: Maintain a strong awareness of emerging creative trends and formats, enabling the development and execution of impactful paid social campaigns.
  • MarTech Leadership: Serve as a thought leader on the MarTech stack, staying informed about emerging technologies and advocating for their integration where appropriate.
  • New Channel Development: Experience in launching new channels (such as audio, streaming, direct mail, or Out of Home), testing in new markets, and scaling into those channels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in integrated demand and paid media, with expertise in adtech and martech, including GTM, Google Analytics, DSPs, and various media channels.
  • Extensive experience with major advertising platforms and analytics tools, managing significant budgets.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or regulated industries is preferred; understanding of HIPAA requirements and their implications for marketing activities.
  • Proficient in analytics tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, and/or Mixpanel, with the ability to interpret and derive insights from complex data sources.
  • Experience in effectively managing agency and freelance partners to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset, capable of sharing insights and working effectively within a team environment.
  • Proven experience in driving performance optimization through hypothesis-driven A/B testing and segmentation strategies.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications. Must be able to observe and communicate information on a company-provided laptop. Move up to 10 pounds on occasion. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Compensation:
Octave is committed to pay equity and adheres to Pay Transparency regulations for all open job postings. The expected salary range for this role is $132,100 - $164,000, with additional benefits including company-sponsored life insurance, disability plans, and various voluntary benefits. Generous Paid Time Off and paid parental leave benefits are also offered.
