About the Role

Our Middle Markets division is in search of a proactive and team-oriented Account Manager. The Account Manager is accountable for the placement, renewal, and comprehensive service of both new and existing accounts. Acting as a representative for Woodruff Sawyer, Account Managers must possess a robust understanding of technical aspects and confidently discuss market trends and coverage options with Account Executives and clients. Close collaboration with the Account Executive is essential to drive strategic initiatives and ensure seamless processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain current knowledge of coverages and market dynamics impacting your assigned portfolio, effectively communicating these insights to clients.
  • Coordinate with Account Coordinators and Account Executives; demonstrate the ability to work independently with a Producer when required.
  • Develop client deliverables, engage in client presentations, and contribute to the strategic planning process.
  • Manage multiple client accounts in alignment with Property & Casualty practice service standards to ensure client retention.
  • Lead the Marketing and Renewal processes; gather information from markets and clients, review documentation related to coverage issues, formulate specifications, and secure quotes; analyze proposals to negotiate adjustments and offer recommendations to clients.
  • Participate in delivering strategic overviews on accounts, soliciting information from markets and clients while reviewing documentation related to client needs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, carriers, and team members.
  • Ensure timely policy reviews and deliveries.
  • Oversee contract reviews and effectively communicate details to clients both verbally and in writing.
  • Exhibit the ability to market and cross-sell additional coverage lines, engaging team members when addressing complex issues or showcasing Woodruff Sawyer's capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferred college degree; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational abilities; adept at multitasking and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Must obtain applicable insurance license(s) within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
