We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Specialist to join our team at Schurz Communications, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and delivering excellence in the installation, servicing, maintenance, and decommissioning of fixed wireless systems.

The successful candidate will work with a variety of hardware, including coaxial cables, cat5 cables, fiber optic cables, network switches, routers, and antennas. Residential and business installations and troubleshooting are a must.

We offer competitive pay, raises for tier progressions every six months through free training from NCTI that could potentially result in a college degree.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, maintain, and decommission fixed wireless systems
  • Work with a variety of hardware, including coaxial cables, cat5 cables, fiber optic cables, network switches, routers, and antennas
  • Residential and business installations and troubleshooting
  • Participate in on-call and overtime pay if applicable

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of broadband experience in telephony, fiber optics, or related field
  • Knowledge and experience working with electronics, electrical, RF, and fiber optic equipment
  • Able to properly operate small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
  • Strong computer skills in Word and Excel
  • Able to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires/cables
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with all OSHA, FCC, NEC, and local ordinances
