Job Overview

TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining telecommunications systems, including cabling and alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and terminate cabling, including Cat6 and Cat5, for telecommunications systems
  • Configure and install alarm systems, including Honeywell, DSC, and DMP
  • Work with commercial customers, including new construction and existing sites
  • Collaborate with shift managers to assign job duties and ensure timely completion

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of cabling and alarm systems, including Cat6 and Cat5
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Work Environment:

As a Telecommunications Installation Specialist, you will spend most of your time on-site at job locations, with occasional meetings at the office. You will be required to travel to various locations, including the greater Knoxville area, Morristown, and Crossville.
