Job Opportunity

New Windsor Communications is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Installer/Broadband Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test data and voice communication equipment
  • Configure, maintain, and monitor end-user telecommunication hardware and devices
  • Perform on-site analysis and thorough testing of equipment to identify and isolate problems
  • Repair systems and equipment through troubleshooting until issues are resolved
  • Update plant records and maintain a current knowledge of emerging products, services, protocols, and standards
  • Generate telecommunications equipment usage and inventory reports as required

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of voice communication and digital technology
  • Calix B Series Switches, Ribbon C15, Brocade knowledge is a bonus
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Interact with co-workers and customers in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of telecommunications schooling or work experience

Additional Requirements:

  • Able to distinguish colors of wire
  • Able to move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Able to stoop, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push, pull, and reach
  • Comfortable traveling to and entering customers' residences
  • Must have a high standard of workmanship, reliability, and work ethics

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
