Role Summary

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, demonstrating a high level of accountability and the ability to work independently. The primary responsibility includes managing and adjusting staff schedules effectively. Key responsibilities involve:

  • Applying departmental staffing policies to ensure adequate levels of care for patients/residents.
  • Assessing staffing requests to inform scheduling decisions.
  • Collaborating with leadership to negotiate staffing requirements.
  • Anticipating both immediate and long-term staffing needs and proactively addressing staffing challenges.
  • Documenting and reporting staffing metrics for leadership review.

Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for interacting with staff, team leads, and department heads. The candidate must be organized, flexible, and capable of adapting schedules as necessary. Proficiency in computer applications for email, scheduling, spreadsheets, and payroll is required. The role demands the ability to manage multiple interruptions and work effectively under pressure.

This position is fully remote.

Qualifications

A post-secondary education or equivalent training in healthcare or business is required, with an associate degree preferred. Previous experience in staffing or working with personnel issues is advantageous.
