Laboratory Manager

JRAD is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Manager to join our team in Washington, DC. As a Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our laboratories, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage laboratory inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure accuracy, precision, and quality of results.
- Coordinate and conduct laboratory training and certification programs for staff.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and procedures, including hazardous waste disposal and emergency response planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement laboratory quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Develop and manage laboratory budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Bachelor's degree in a biological, chemical, or physical science related field.
- 3-5 years of recent related laboratory work experience in a certified public health or environmental laboratory.
- 2 years of demonstrated laboratory management, leadership, and decision-making experience.
- 2 years of progressively complex hands-on experience in applicable analytical methods.
- Extensive experience with laboratory safety and hazardous waste disposal.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and DHS Suitability.
