Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Chico's. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in promoting a customer-focused sales culture and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Culture: Analyze sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs and execute in-store business and sales strategies in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Leadership and Development: Establish clear expectations, hold team members accountable, and provide coaching and training to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Operations and Logistics: Control payroll and supply budgets, oversee basic operational activities, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
  • Customer Experience: Model and promote exceptional customer service, ensure a fast and efficient register experience, and resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Talent Management: Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing a high-performing team, and drive associate and team engagement through recognition and rewards.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of retail management experience
  • Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills
  • Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company
  • Proven excellent customer service skills with statistical track record in sales and leadership
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership qualities, training, and team building skills
  • Able to communicate with customers and staff
Physical Requirements
  • Constant Walking/Standing % of 8-hour shift
  • Occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.- 1-33% of 8-hour shift
  • Frequent Climbing- 34%-66% of 8-hour shift
