Key Responsibilities
- Conduct screening and intake processes for all incoming clients and manage client data within the agency's Electronic Health Record system.
- Provide crisis intervention and problem-solving support to clients, whether they are calling or visiting in person.
- Schedule appointments for clients within Nebraska Behavioral Health programs.
- Maintain service statistics, analyze data, and prepare reports as necessary.
- Oversee the pre-authorization process and establish client fees for services.
- Assist clients in identifying barriers to treatment using assessment tools.
- Manage client files, including opening, closing, and transferring information as needed.
- Facilitate internal and external referrals to address client needs effectively.
- Engage in educational outreach to enhance client participation.
- Conduct reminder calls for client appointments.
- Maintain an organized reception area and manage office opening and closing procedures.
- Perform reception duties, including taking messages and providing directions to clients and visitors.
- Execute various support staff duties, including typing and filing, while assisting non-behavioral health programs.
- Notify supervisors of any emerging patterns related to programs.
- Exhibit dependability and punctuality in scheduling and attendance.
- Demonstrate a courteous and compassionate demeanor towards clients, volunteers, and visitors.
- Collaborate effectively with agency staff and external partners.
- Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
- Engage in professional development through training opportunities.
- Contribute to the agency's community engagement and fundraising efforts.
- Perform additional program-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is preferred, along with two years of relevant experience. Proficiency in MS Word is preferred, and candidates must be willing to work two evenings per week. Bilingual abilities in Spanish are also preferred.
