About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Surveying Technician to join our Surveying and Engineering division at the Walbec Group. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in road, highway, and bridge construction, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality construction materials and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Map out existing conditions of a property, staking out roadways, bridges, buildings, and utilities on a construction site.
  • Collect data with unmanned aerial vehicles or drones.
  • Process field data, drafting, and quantity measurements.
  • Opportunity to learn and grow with us, with guidance and compensation for completing the National Society of Professional Surveyors Certified Survey Technician program.

Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • 2+ years of survey experience required.
  • Must be a reliable, efficient self-starter with initiative and a sense of responsibility.
  • AutoCAD/Civil 3D software experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate with others to convey information effectively.
  • Ability to work independently if needed.
  • Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
