Role Summary

SeamonWhiteside is seeking a driven and skilled individual to take on the role of Survey Team Leader within our expanding office.

The ideal candidate will emphasize the core principles of land surveying while adhering to the standards set by our firm. This position plays a vital role in supporting the survey team with daily field activities, including the planning and evaluation of Tree & Topographical Surveys, As-built Surveys, Record Drawings, Boundary Surveys, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, along with conducting deed and plat research as necessary. As a Survey Team Leader, you will oversee all facets of surveying initiatives, from field operations to data interpretation and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred

Licensing: Required South Carolina and North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor Licenses (PLS)

Experience: Over 10 years of progressive experience in land surveying operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of surveyors to ensure precise and efficient data collection
  • Oversee all aspects of field survey operations, including equipment setup and quality assurance
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients within the survey division
  • Address client inquiries and deliver exceptional service throughout project execution
  • Demonstrate proficiency in surveying technology, including Trimble equipment, TOTAL STATION, GPS, GIS, and Civil3D
  • Manage workflows for survey data processing
  • Provide regular project updates to clients, ensuring satisfaction and adherence to timelines
  • Maintain compliance with relevant laws and professional standards in land surveying
  • Facilitate training and professional development for team members
  • Manage project budgets and lead surveying projects from inception to completion
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance with health regulations
  • Conduct precise land/property measurements and assessments
