Position Overview

Seamon, Whiteside and Assoc, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to take on the role of Survey Crew Chief in our expanding office.

Key Responsibilities

The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible for overseeing the essential aspects of land surveying while adhering to the company’s established standards. This position plays a vital role in supporting the Survey Department's daily field activities, which include:

  • Leading a team of surveyors to guarantee precise and efficient data collection.
  • Managing field survey operations, including equipment setup and quality assurance protocols.
  • Addressing client inquiries and delivering exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilizing surveying tools, particularly Trimble equipment, Total Station, and GPS technology.
  • Overseeing the processing of survey data and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards.
  • Providing mentorship and training to team members to foster professional growth.
  • Promoting a culture of safety and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Conducting accurate measurements and evaluations of land and properties.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in land survey field operations, with proficiency in using land surveying equipment.

Desired Skills
  • Prior experience in a crew chief role.
  • Familiarity with drone operation.
  • Knowledge of outdoor environments and plant/tree species.
  • Ability to cultivate a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Valid driver's license.
