The Associate Director of Development for STEM Initiatives plays a pivotal role in fostering relationships with alumni, parents, and friends who have a passion for supporting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs at Syracuse University.
This position is responsible for driving leadership annual gifts and building a pipeline of STEM donors and prospects at the mid and major gift levels within 3-5 years of engagement.
The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of 125 leadership annual prospects in designated regions and develop strategies for cultivating and soliciting prospects who have the capacity and inclination to make gifts/commitments of $100,000 or more.
Strategic ObjectivesThe successful candidate will implement strategic plans to increase philanthropic support for STEM programs, centers, research, scholarships, and funds.
They will organize and participate in events and face-to-face and virtual meetings to increase support for Syracuse University's STEM programs within the designated regions.
Collaboration with partners in academic and central units across the University is essential to build and engage this portfolio.
Preferred LocationCandidates residing in the San Francisco Metropolitan area and Los Angeles Metropolitan area are strongly preferred.
