Senior Development Officer, STEM Programs

Key Responsibilities:

This role plays a pivotal part in identifying and engaging alumni, parents, and friends with an affinity for and interest in supporting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs from across campus.

The successful candidate will drive leadership annual gifts in the short term, with a focus on building a substantial pipeline of STEM donors and prospects at the mid and major gift levels within 3-5 years of engagement.

This position serves as a major gift fundraiser responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects and donors.

The individual will manage a portfolio of 125 leadership annual prospects in designated regions and focus on building/maintaining a portfolio of alumni, parents, and friends by creating and implementing strategies for cultivating and soliciting prospects who have the capacity and inclination to make gifts/commitments of $100,000 or more.

They will implement strategic plans to increase philanthropic support for STEM programs, centers, research, scholarships, and funds.

The candidate will organize and participate in events and face-to-face and virtual meetings to increase support for Syracuse University's STEM programs within the designated regions.

Collaboration with partners in academic and central units across the University is essential to build and engage this portfolio.

Candidates residing in the San Francisco Metropolitan area and Los Angeles Metropolitan area are strongly preferred.
