We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Support Teacher to join our team at Primrose School of Colorado Station.

Job Summary

The Support Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis, and implement individualized lesson plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and programming.
  • Plan and participate in parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations, working closely with the Leadership Team to ensure seamless communication.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive classroom environment that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.
  • Provide clear and consistent expectations for children's behavior, while offering verbal recognition and acceptance to promote positive relationships.
  • Assist in other capacities as determined by the Director or designee, to ensure the smooth operation of the school.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred.
  • Understanding of children's needs and behaviors.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Lead Teacher Applicants must meet the necessary requirements for Colorado.
