As a Floating Assist Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a secure and engaging atmosphere where children can explore and learn through intentional play, supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment that stimulates development.
  • Continuously assess each child's developmental needs.
  • Implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules in line with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Build authentic relationships with each child.
  • Facilitate learning in language and literacy, science, life skills, and more.
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and confident decision-making.
  • Identify effective teaching strategies tailored to each child's learning style.
Qualifications:
  • Responsible for the overall supervision and daily operations of a group of children.
  • Adhere to all regulations and guidelines set forth by Primrose School of Denver North and relevant regulatory agencies regarding child health, safety, and care.
  • Implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules according to the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Maintain an inviting and well-organized classroom that promotes creativity and exploration.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom, shared spaces, and outdoor areas.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance in accordance with the Primrose School of Denver North Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in additional tasks as determined necessary by the Director or designated authority.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Meet the basic requirements established by local childcare regulatory agencies.
  • Prior experience in a licensed early childhood education setting is preferred.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safe handling of children during activities and emergencies.
  • Qualified as an Early Childhood Teacher or Lead Teacher.
