As an


Educational Support Specialist, you will deliver personalized supervision and instruction to designated students while providing additional assistance to the core classroom team.

Collaborating with student(s) to execute their individualized education programs (IEP), you will employ both group and individual instruction in various settings.

‖ Key Responsibilities Include:

Working with students to enhance their community, vocational, leisure, domestic, academic, and social skills.


Implementing educational programs (including all on-site and community-based instruction) and behavioral intervention strategies aligned with the objectives of the IEP/ITP (Individual Transition Plan)/PBIP (Positive Behavior Intervention Plan) to achieve each student's goals.

Monitoring and guiding students during lessons in the classroom to ensure the integrity of instruction.


Encouraging and tracking the progress of individual students according to specific timelines, while communicating with the classroom teacher regarding overall development and/or necessary interventions.


Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student behavior as per school protocols; reporting observations to relevant staff and providing recommendations based on these observations.

Assisting in the preparation of behavioral reports and daily activity logs as needed.

Upholding the confidentiality of student information and records at all times.

Participating in school meetings, student/parent conferences, and individual student advisory sessions as requested and required.

Responding positively to both formal and informal feedback.

Carrying out other assigned duties as necessary.

‖ Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent with successful completion of a basic skills assessment.

Associate degree in education or a related field is preferred.

Active Paraprofessional and/or PPS Certification is preferred.

Special Education Certification is preferred.

Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.

Prior experience with individuals facing severe emotional and/or behavioral challenges is preferred.

Ability to think and act swiftly and calmly in emergency situations and make independent decisions.

Strong motivational skills and a willingness to be adaptable to changing priorities and new initiatives.

Proficient in computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
