About the Role

The Retail Operations Leader - Prepared Foods will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our prepared foods department, including managing inventory, controlling costs, and ensuring excellent customer service. As a leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive sales growth, improving processes, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the prepared foods department, including managing inventory, controlling costs, and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve processes, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead High-Performing Teams: Lead high-performing teams to achieve business objectives, develop and implement training programs, and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including store leadership, human resources, and other departments to achieve business objectives.
  • Analyze Sales Data: Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and make recommendations to improve sales performance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 18 Months Retail Experience: Minimum 18 months retail experience required, including 6 months of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills required, including verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills required, including coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Mathematical Skills: Mathematical skills required, including basic math, algebra, and geometry.
  • Ability to Lift 50 Pounds: Ability to lift 50 pounds required, as well as stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
  • Physical Demands: Physical demands include standing/walking 6-8 hours, hand use, single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling, as well as exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90°F.

Whole Foods Market offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan benefits, eligibility for a store discount, paid time off, and access to other benefit programs. Eligibility for benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefit plan at the date of hire.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $20.05-$35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. The compensation and benefits package may vary based on location and other factors.
