Retail Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Operations Coordinator to join our team at the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution in Washington DC. As a key member of our e-commerce retail operation, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless order fulfillment and exceptional customer service.

This is a full-time opportunity that involves working with various sales channels, including online stores, mail, phone, and pop-up shops. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in inventory management and loss prevention practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accepting, processing, and fulfilling member/customer orders from multiple channels
  • Providing exceptional customer service through phone calls, resolving issues, and determining order status
  • Traveling to conferences to run temporary pop-up shops during conference season
  • Assisting with inventory management, receiving, monitoring levels, and maintaining product knowledge
  • Coordinating order processing with in-house engravers and outside vendors
  • Packing and shipping orders

Requirements include:

  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in retail and/or e-commerce customer-focused environments
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in inventory management, loss prevention, and customer order processing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to respond to customer requests
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with or without accommodations, for short periods of time
  • A valid driver's license

The salary range for this position is between $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Benefits include vacation and sick leave, medical, dental, and vision coverage, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and a 403(b) retirement plan with an employer match.
