Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $36.42 to $60.33 per hour, commensurate with experience and education

Retention Incentive:
$10,000 - $15,000 Retention Bonus (dependent on experience)

Relocation Support:
Up to $7,500 for relocation expenses
Temporary Housing: 90 Days of Temporary Housing Provided

Summer Activities:

Key Responsibilities:
Assess patient needs—physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning. Review patient history and collaborate with patients/families to ensure timely completion. Analyze available information from the healthcare team. Review diagnostics and laboratory results, reporting any abnormalities to the physician(s) and relevant caregivers. Conduct assessments and reassessments as per patient needs and policy guidelines.

Develop a comprehensive care plan, including discharge planning, utilizing assessment data and input from patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Initiate a care plan tailored to patient-specific needs, assessment data, and the medical plan of care. Set realistic, measurable goals in collaboration with the patient/family. Consider the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age-specific, and educational needs of the patient in the care plan. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to plan care. Review and adjust the care plan to reflect evolving patient needs based on evaluations.

Implement the care plan through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities.

Deliver care in accordance with physician orders and the nursing care plan. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.

Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel involved in patient care.

Facilitate continuity of care by effectively communicating patient status to other caregivers.

Evaluate patient and family responses to care and education, revising the care plan as necessary. Assess patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with the healthcare team. Evaluate patient responses and the effectiveness of educational efforts.
Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluations in the patient record, ensuring legibility, timeliness, and adherence to policy. Documentation should reflect objective/subjective data, nursing interventions, and patient responses to treatment. Accurately note physician orders in a timely manner.
Provide care based on the best available evidence and may engage in research activities within clinical practice. Participate in unit or facility shared leadership. Engage in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors. Support the growth of others by acting as a preceptor or mentor when appropriate.

Contribute to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care.

Actively participate in improving national nursing quality indicators and outcomes, which may include involvement in professional organizations.
In some roles, this position may supervise staff and oversee departmental workflow. Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

Qualifications:
Must possess a valid current or temporary Alaska RN license. Requires knowledge and skills typically acquired through an Associate's degree in nursing. BLS certification is mandatory. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or continuing education may be required based on the area of practice. Requires creative thinking, prioritization, and flexible problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Professional certification is advantageous.

Experience in an acute care setting as a Registered Nurse within the past year is preferred.

Additional related education and/or experience is a plus.
