**Job Summary**

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a highly skilled Air Traffic Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our air traffic control team, you will be responsible for providing tactical, strategic, and administrative support to multiple program areas, including training, quality control, quality assurance, traffic management, airspace and procedures plans and programs, operational automation, military operations, special and security operations, safety management system, safety reporting, and other areas of specialty.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Perform daily functions of maintaining and improving operational material and resources within assigned areas of specialty.

• Communicate intra-facility and inter-facility, as well as among various lines of business and industry.

• Make recommendations for new projects and studies, taking into account available resources and facility goals and objectives.

• Apply expertise toward the completion of projects and studies, and facility reports.

• Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of equipment, facilities, and procedures.

• Conduct investigations, evaluations, and briefs facility personnel.

• Develop methods to improve customer service and the quality of support provided.

• Collaborate freely among facilities, provide feedback, and consult with other Staff Support Specialists.

• May perform duties outside of the facility, commensurate with grade and experience.

**Requirements**

• Must have held an FAA 2152 FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year (52 weeks).

• Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS Facility.

• Must have held an MSS position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility.

• Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.

**Additional Information**

This is a bargaining unit position. The person selected for this position may be required to file a financial disclosure statement within 30 days of entry on duty. The FAA policy limits certain outside employment and financial investments in aviation-related companies.
