ROLE SUMMARY
The Head of Video Production will report directly to the Operations Manager.

This role involves overseeing a team of 3 to 6 technicians responsible for the planning, preparation, and maintenance of video equipment utilized in productions nationwide.

The selected individual will collaborate closely with production management, other departments, and video engineers to guarantee uniform quality across all projects. The candidate may also assist in engineering shows as required.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the selection and design of video equipment tailored to client needs, adhering to budgetary constraints and established technical standards.
  • Contribute to the creation and updating of video plots.
  • Coordinate project specifications with various departments, clients, and venues, including equipment, rigging, power, labor, and shipping schedules as necessary.
  • Generate show-specific equipment Pull Sheets using inventory control software.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and Technicians to ensure accurate equipment pulls, packaging, and labeling in accordance with Pull Sheets.
  • Unload, set up, and dismantle equipment for shows as needed.
  • Direct video crews during on-site activities, ensuring safety and organization.
  • Adhere to procedures aimed at preventing equipment loss.
  • Maintain and service equipment as required, providing service logs and schedules.
  • Coordinate special projects, including research and recommendations for the acquisition of specialized video equipment for show applications.
  • Ensure adequate stock of equipment and supplies to meet ongoing production needs.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on departmental procedures, including equipment preparation, setup, operation, removal, quality control, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Assume responsibilities of colleagues as needed throughout the company.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Familiarity with video equipment.
  • Proficient in computer operations, including basic networking.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and demonstrate initiative.
  • Experience operating forklifts and materials handling equipment.
  • Planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Barco switching systems.
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, move, and position up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment into transport vehicles.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in video production for live events, including hands-on experience with video switchers, processing, cameras, projection, screens, and LED video walls.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Adept at reading and interpreting documents such as CAD drawings, safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering a respectful and positive work atmosphere.
  • Preferred experience operating scissor lifts and forklifts.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

SALARY RANGE

Power Plus Productions considers a variety of factors to establish a fair and equitable compensation package.

The final offer will reflect a range of considerations, including skill sets, relevant experience, and training.

The overall salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000 annually.
