About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Editor to join our team at the Deseret News Publishing Company. As a key member of our digital content team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative videos that captivate our audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our team to develop and produce high-quality video content that aligns with our brand and messaging.
  • Design and create motion graphics that enhance the storytelling aspect of our videos.
  • Analyze camera techniques, shot composition, sound, and lighting to produce visually appealing and engaging content.
  • Stay up-to-date with current and future trends in design, graphics, and marketing art styles to ensure our content remains fresh and relevant.
  • Work closely with our team to deliver projects on time and under budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, film, or a related field of study, and/or relevant experience.
  • At least five years of strong motion graphics/video production experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform content decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
