Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Duration: 09 months of Contract.

As an AWS Cloud Developer at Sunrise Systems Inc, you will be instrumental in architecting, creating, and sustaining scalable cloud-native software applications utilizing the AWS ecosystem.

Candidates should possess a solid background in software application development within an AWS Cloud setting.

Project Overview:

The CJEP initiative at Sunrise Systems Inc aims to modernize the Criminal Justice Exchange Program, facilitating data sharing among various agencies, counties, and municipalities. This project will transition the existing SoftwareAG-centric solution to a Cloud Native architecture on AWS, enabling efficient data movement and consolidation for participating counties. The integration points for this data exchange will include third-party vendors alongside state and county systems. Existing APIs and web services will be leveraged to enhance this modernized solution as much as feasible.

Position Overview:

As an AWS Cloud Developer at Sunrise Systems Inc, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining robust cloud solutions on the AWS platform. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a SCRUM Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions that align with business goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SOAP-based web services, custom header implementation, and managing MTOM (Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism) attachments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Demonstrated experience with XML, XSD, WSDL, and other relevant technologies.
  • Proven track record as a software developer with a strong grasp of cloud computing principles and practices.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications on AWS cloud services, particularly Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language; familiarity with additional languages is advantageous.
  • Experience with AWS Step Functions and State Machines is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and SCRUM framework.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer) are a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
