Your Role

INVISTA Polypropylene is in search of a meticulous and seasoned MRP (Material Requirements Planning) Controller / Warehouse Operations Supervisor to enhance our operational efficiency.

As an MRP Controller / Warehouse Operations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward by leveraging advanced technologies to streamline material planning and warehouse management processes, thereby ensuring smooth production workflows and effective inventory oversight.

This position entails collaboration with multiple departments, data analysis for material forecasting, and maintaining precise inventory records to align with manufacturing and organizational objectives.

You will also lead a team of warehouse personnel, ensuring the integrity of inventory records, fostering a safe and orderly work environment, and nurturing your team into a high-performing unit that embodies our vision and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance and optimize our raw materials and railcar management systems, collaborating with third-party developers and/or our internal teams to elevate our operational capabilities.
  • Establish, oversee, and refine processes to ensure timely availability of materials for production and maintenance, facilitating the creation of quality products.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within material planning and warehouse operations, adopting best practices and innovative technologies to boost safety, compliance, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Formulate and sustain material requirements plans based on production timelines, sales forecasts, and inventory strategies while monitoring stock levels, resolving discrepancies, and devising strategies to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with the site reliability team to ensure proper spare parts management in the warehouse utilizing SAP and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.
  • Automate and expedite requisitions for raw materials and components to guarantee timely deliveries and avert production interruptions.
  • Supervise the raw material and spare parts warehouse, guiding 2-4 employees in applying our operational principles in their daily tasks.
  • Monitor performance metrics related to overdue Purchase Orders (POs), critical POs, and outstanding invoices, working with other departments to eliminate obstacles and enhance processes.
  • Manage costs associated with warehouse contractors, off-site storage, and vendor-managed inventory.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure accurate allocation of parts to the appropriate cost centers/projects for precise cost tracking.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with preferred suppliers, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships that add value to the business.
Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Background in spare parts and/or raw material warehouse management.
  • Familiarity with MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) systems.
  • This position does not qualify for Visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Inventory Control.
  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in SAP, EAM, or other ERP systems.
  • Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Participation in software development or implementation projects.
