**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our Purchasing and Supply Chain Team at JH Kelly. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting Buyers and Senior Buyers in ensuring timely deliveries, communicating with vendors, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Buyers and Senior Buyers in ensuring timely deliveries and communicating with vendors
- Communicate delivery of equipment, products, and materials to field, project management, and shops
- Work closely with Buyers, Project Management, and other departments to ensure timely deliveries
- Provide support with issuing purchase orders to vendors, ensuring accuracy and PO documentation completeness
- Assist with tracking quotes for bid and review spreadsheet analysis
- Assist with contacting suppliers for adjustments involving replacement or return of material or equipment due to non-conformance, defect, cancellation of order, or price variation
- Help Accounts Payable resolve invoice and delivery discrepancies associated with purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services
- Manage document control, including Submittals and O&M Manuals as requested
Requirements:
- BS or BA degree with emphasis on Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or other applicable degree
- Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices is a plus
- Knowledge of purchasing and contract laws and regulations is a plus
- Good understanding and working knowledge of email, spreadsheet, and word processing software programs
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other industry-standard programs
