Anesthesia Support Specialist

The Anesthesia Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the availability and functionality of anesthesia equipment and supplies. This role involves the organization and maintenance of anesthesia carts within surgical environments, as well as the cleaning and preparation of equipment. Additionally, the specialist may assist in the transportation of patients and perform various supportive tasks within the surgical unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adheres to the established OneCHRISTUS Competencies, demonstrating leadership qualities appropriate to the role.
- Conducts routine cleaning and maintenance of anesthesia machines and related equipment in the operating room.
- Collaborates with the Materials Management team to procure and manage inventory levels of anesthesia supplies and medications.
- Ensures that all equipment is sanitized before and after surgical interventions.
- Provides assistance to anesthesiologists as required.
Qualifications:
Education and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Certification as an Anesthesia Technician is preferred.
Work Schedule:
To be determined.
