Job Title: Lead Consultant, Project Controls

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Consultant, Project Controls to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Project Controls team, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and executing project controls plans and project management plans to support contract requirements and the successful execution of project controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement project controls plans and project management plans to support contract requirements and project execution.
  • Support the Project Controls team with scheduling, cost control, document control, change management, and scope/change control.
  • Develop and prepare project control reports with corrective action plans when required.
  • Assist in the development of project controls dashboards and reporting methods using PowerBI, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
  • Maintain a Project Earned Value Management System (EVMS) database to measure progress and calculate performance metrics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline (desired but not required with applicable experience).
  • Project Management, schedule, or cost management training or certification through Project Management Institute (PMI) or American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) or other relevant industry organizations.
  • 7-10 years' experience in Project Controls, Engineering, or Project Management.
  • Experience in establishing project control systems and procedures and developing project reports and documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Confident self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail and organization while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and produce project deliverables.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with team members, contractors, and clients.
  • Skilled at building and sustaining relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and deliverables.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerBI, PowerApps, Power Automate, and Excel.
