Job Overview

JJA Corp is in search of a Retail Operations Supervisor to assist in managing our well-established grocery and deli business. This role will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth operations within our family-oriented establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily activities of production and retail staff;
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation;
  • Deliver exceptional customer service;
  • Guide, mentor, and enhance the skills of team members;
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to set and achieve sales targets, oversee food production, and manage grocery inventory;
  • Coordinate employee schedules and manage time-off requests for optimal productivity;
  • Analyze current pricing and evaluate various suppliers for best purchasing options;
  • Address service recovery situations as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years in deli, grocery, or retail environments, with at least two years in a leadership position;
  • Strong organizational and administrative capabilities;
  • Experience with POS systems and familiarity with accounting and inventory management software;
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities;
  • Capacity to excel in a dynamic work environment;
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead a team;
  • Positive demeanor and proactive attitude;
  • Experience in vendor management is highly advantageous.
