Position Overview:


The Production Print Solutions Consultant plays a pivotal role in delivering specialized technical guidance and collaboration with the Production Print Specialist, sales teams, and clients in the conception and execution of intricate and enterprise-level production hardware, solutions, and professional services.

This role involves providing technical assistance during sales presentations, conducting customer training sessions, and facilitating the delivery of professional services while generating customer samples. The focus is on optimizing Workflow, Applications, and fulfilling the comprehensive needs of the customer, ensuring a complete solution.

Key Responsibilities:
Engage directly with the Production Print Specialist to achieve branch and regional sales objectives while enhancing the customer experience.


Serve as the subject matter expert and technical consultant throughout the sales process for software workflow solutions, collaborating closely with the sales team and utilizing professional services.

Conduct meetings with clients to assess applications and workflows to develop tailored solutions.

Work alongside the sales team to analyze potential customers and formulate account strategies that leverage production print solutions.

Actively participate in sales discussions.

Contribute to responses for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and oversee the implementation of more sophisticated solutions.

Assist in preparing high-value sales proposals, ensuring accurate configurations and workflows.

Facilitate application testing for customer print samples and provide proof-of-concept support for proposed workflow solutions.

Offer installation and integration advice for advanced color solutions.


Collaborate with sales, service, and operations teams to ensure showroom equipment is functioning optimally, calibrated, and stocked with appropriate substrates for customer demonstrations.


Qualifications:

Expertise in Production:

Possess certifications in color management such as FOGRA, G7, GRACoL, and/or iccMAX, along with a strong working knowledge and certification in production print servers (DFE) such as EFI, Creo, Prisma, and Fuji. A comprehensive understanding of color profiling systems, screening sets, color calibration, ICC profiles, and familiarity with black and white production printing and associated data streams and conversion software products is essential.

Additionally, a solid understanding of digital automation, workflow solutions, and third-party finishing is required.

Hardware & Systems Acumen:
Proficient in both Mac and PC hardware, with knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems considered a plus.

Software Skills:

Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite, Corel Draw, QuarkXPress, and other standard color composition and management tools, including file formats such as JPEG, TIFF, EPS, and PDF.


Networking Knowledge:
Familiarity with networking concepts, basic network topology, and security protocols.

Educational Background:

A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Experience in Printing Pre-Sales/Post-

Sales Support:
Knowledge of production environments and a proven track record of delivering exceptional support.

Travel Requirements:
Some travel may be necessary, including overnight stays. A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required. Certain minimum auto insurance coverages are also necessary.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.

Must not have color blindness.

Capability to discern differences between colors, including shades and brightness.

Climbing (stairs)

Dexterity (working with small, compact equipment or in tight spaces within equipment).

Must be able to read and comprehend documents on computer screens or in printed form.

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $67,950- $119,300.

The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits.

The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location.

You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
