About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team and drive the success of our bakery operations. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of our pastry team, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and operate the pastry offerings of all our outlets
  • Provide final authorization for menu item development and changes
  • Participate in marketing, PR, and social media campaigns
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing pastry team
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling and budgeting
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and kitchen cleanliness
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met
  • Coordinate menu tastings and pre-meal meetings
  • Assist in leading special culinary events
  • Inform and update the Executive Chef on problems and irregularities
  • Provide knowledge and skill training to team members and interns
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond accordingly
  • Support the entire Food and Beverage operation
Requirements
  • Minimum 8+ years of pastry experience and advanced knowledge of kitchen tools and pastry operations
  • Cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience creating and designing menu items and wedding cakes
  • Working knowledge of computers and POS systems
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours
  • Proactive, energetic, and hands-on approach
  • Positive attitude with a generous and uplifting team approach
  • Fluency in English is required
