About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at The Arrabelle at Vail Square, a luxury hotel located in the heart of Vail Square. As a Pastry Cook, you will work closely with our Pastry Chef to prepare a variety of pastry items, including pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets, mousses, custards, simple syrups, and jams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing pastry items according to established recipes and customer service standards.
  • Produce desserts for special events, banquets, and amenities, including wedding cakes and creative pastry displays.
  • Communicate effectively with the Pastry Chef and Executive Chef regarding menu items and other kitchen issues.
  • Follow established recipes and plating guides to ensure high-quality products.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Vail Resorts.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of culinary experience, preferably in a pastry role.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to read and present detailed information to managers and employees.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
