Job Summary

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist I to join our team at Cone Health. The successful candidate will assess and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. This is a PRN position working in our Outpatient Pediatrics department.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to analyze their communication and oral motor skills.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based, personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patients' goals, and individual needs.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques to improve recovery outcomes.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions so that treatment plans can be adjusted as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement discharge plans and recommendations for continued care.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligibility to receive it through a Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • Licensed by the North Carolina Board for Speech Pathologists and Audiologists during their Supervised Experience Year.
