About the Role

Amedisys is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in providing home-based care to patients in need. As an SLP with Amedisys, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families, providing much-needed care in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
  • Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to the state you are assigned to work.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate coursework and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
  • Current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology.
