About the Role

The May Institute is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our team of educational and clinical professionals. As a visionary leader, you will be responsible for fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in education and clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Vision: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education that is at the forefront of best practices and innovation.
  • Staff Development and Management: Manage, evaluate, and supervise school staff, implementing effective procedures for hiring, training, and ongoing performance evaluations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop, manage, and evaluate systems to ensure staff proficiency in implementing effective ABA-based educational and clinical methods.
  • Financial Strategy: Partner with executive leadership to develop and manage the annual budget for the school, ensuring the program meets census targets.
  • Advanced Education and Training Programs: Develop and implement training opportunities at multiple levels of education, including undergraduate internships, BCBA trainee opportunities, pre-doctoral internships, and post-doctoral fellowships.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of the curve with the latest research and best practices in ABA, embracing innovation and integrating new findings into our practice.
  • Upholding Moral Principles: Maintain ethical standards and adhere to relevant laws and regulations governing the practice of ABA education.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in special education, behavior analysis, or related field required; Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience serving in a leadership role in an educational setting.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Significant experience with productive staff management, supervision, and mentoring resulting in strong teams and improved outcomes; demonstrated commitment to ABA philosophy, principles, and procedures; commitment to continuing to develop ABA expertise; commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Certifications: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred.
