Job DescriptionAs a Chef and Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for leading the culinary team and overseeing all kitchen activities. You will be responsible for planning menus, managing inventory, and controlling costs. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring team members, ensuring a professional working environment, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement menu concepts, creating weekly specials and standard recipe cards
- Manage inventory, track costs, and control purchasing and receiving
- Train and mentor team members, ensuring a professional working environment
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations
- Work closely with the General Manager and Dining Room Manager to ensure market trends, cost control, and specials are presented
- 3+ years of Chef and Supervisory experience or culinary school required
- Culinary education or equivalent work experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to proper expectations
- Ability to handle difficult and challenging situations and conversations
- ServSafe certification required
This position requires regular talking and hearing, as well as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. Occasional lifting of products weighing up to 50 pounds may be required.
