Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the provision of prompt and effective service through the daily management of multiple claims examiners
  • Offering expert guidance to team members on claim investigations, reserve assessments, and claims resolution
  • Evaluating the work output and performance of individual adjusters
  • Facilitating coaching and career advancement for adjusters
  • Providing timely feedback and performance evaluations to claims personnel
  • Managing the utilization, output, and costs associated with external vendors
  • Building and nurturing strong professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively engaging in committees and special project teams
Qualifications

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced expertise in all facets of claims adjustment
  • Comprehensive understanding of contracts, investigative methods, legal obligations, and industry regulations
  • Proficient in collaborating effectively with diverse individuals
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and interpret complex information
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
  • Creative problem-solver with strong multitasking abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and capabilities
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • A minimum of 5 years in insurance claims
  • 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Current adjuster license in one or more states is preferred; willingness to acquire additional state licenses is required
