Position Overview

As a skilled technician with Carrier Global Corporation, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our clients, embodying the reliability and assurance we are known for while ensuring their comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, providing informed recommendations.
  • Conducting routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
  • Installing, replacing, or repairing HVAC equipment, including calibrating thermostatic controls and managing liquid lines.
  • Fabricating and installing metal ductwork.
  • Assisting in the planning and design of new heating and air-conditioning system installations.
  • Estimating material requirements for projects.
  • Repairing and replacing malfunctioning parts and equipment.
  • Interpreting blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
  • Understanding and adhering to City, State, and EPA regulations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and their representatives.
  • Safely operating company vehicles and equipment.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks and safety hazards in HVAC operations, collaborating with management to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Recognizing situations that necessitate escalation to supervisory personnel for guidance or additional support.
  • Regularly rigging and properly setting up equipment for safe lifting and maintenance tasks.
  • Participating in mandatory safety training and maintaining required licensing.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the HVAC sector.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
  • Capability to stand, crawl, sit, and squat for extended periods.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and eligibility for company insurance.
  • Willingness to join or be part of the Union.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of building automation systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and ServiceMax is advantageous.
  • Potential requirement to pass an examination regarding Building Trades Journeyman competencies.
Compensation

Competitive pay rate of $55.77 per hour.
