Position Overview:
Under general supervision, the HVAC Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing precision tune-ups and maintenance on HVAC systems and components. This role involves direct communication with clients to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. The technician will also promote services and products to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance calls under general supervision.
- Perform routine precision tune-ups and maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in a timely manner.
- Inspect and diagnose equipment to identify potential issues, preventing unexpected breakdowns.
- Complete necessary maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Deliver and retrieve parts and equipment required for service tasks.
- Assist senior technicians in servicing HVAC systems and components.
- Utilize handheld devices to document customer interactions and complete required paperwork accurately.
- Maintain communication with dispatch to provide status updates on activities and availability.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Promote products and services during customer interactions.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of company property, vehicles, and tools.
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner in all business dealings.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and ensure company vehicles are adequately stocked.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Report unsafe conditions or acts to the supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety initiatives and report any incidents promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with additional training and 2 to 5 years of experience in HVAC.
- Valid licensing or certification as required by local regulations.
- EPA and safety certifications are mandatory.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Proficient mechanical skills and ability to operate necessary tools.
- Effective communication skills for customer interaction.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Capability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders and maneuver in tight spaces.
