Position Overview:
Under general supervision, the HVAC Maintenance Technician II is responsible for conducting precision tune-ups and maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment. This role involves engaging with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction while promoting relevant products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance calls under general supervision.
- Perform routine precision tune-ups and maintenance on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems in a timely manner.
- Inspect and diagnose equipment to identify potential issues, preventing unexpected breakdowns.
- Complete necessary maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required.
- Manage the delivery and removal of parts and equipment for service tasks.
- Assist Service Technicians in servicing HVAC systems and accessories.
- Utilize handheld devices to record information during customer calls and complete necessary paperwork accurately.
- Maintain communication with dispatch to provide status updates on activities and availability.
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Promote products and services to customers, generating leads for replacement sales.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of company property, vehicles, and tools.
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
- Follow standard procedures to ensure the company vehicle is adequately stocked.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Report unsafe conditions or acts to the supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety.
- Utilize and maintain personal protective equipment as required.
- Participate in safety initiatives and report any incidents promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, with additional training and 2 to 5 years of HVAC experience preferred.
- Valid licensing or certification as required by local regulations.
- EPA and safety certifications are mandatory.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and their operational functionalities.
- Proficient mechanical skills and ability to operate necessary tools and equipment.
- Effective communication skills for customer interaction and issue resolution.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed.
Compensation Range: Minimum $47,989; Maximum $71,983
