Role Summary

The Teller Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of team members engaged in teller operations. This role ensures that all tasks are performed in alignment with established policies and procedures, including accurate accounting for funds, precise recording of member transactions in the credit union's data processing system, and delivering exceptional service to members regarding their financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and respond to changes in members' life events and banking requirements to recommend suitable services and financial solutions that facilitate their financial success.
  • Spot referral opportunities and guide members towards specialized services, including investments, real estate, and commercial financial needs.
  • Motivate, mentor, and guide team members on recognizing referral opportunities and suggesting relevant services to members.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and schedule teller activities to ensure compliance with established policies and regulations.
  • Develop and manage teller work schedules to maintain an adequate level of service for members.
  • Ensure daily balancing of all teller transactions, assisting tellers in locating and reconciling posting discrepancies.
  • Conduct audits of teller cash drawers as necessary and manage cash levels to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Assist teller staff during peak periods by performing teller duties as needed.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required, along with one to three years of relevant experience or training in a full-service financial institution.
