DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

The Service Operations Supervisor is responsible for all service-related activities, ensuring the upkeep of the branch's facility and grounds, as well as the maintenance of the service fleet vehicles. This role coordinates the safe and effective workflow of all service staff. Additionally, it involves managing the service office and personnel to guarantee that internal processes are performed accurately and promptly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Warranty Clerk to facilitate warranty claims.

  • Coordinate with the Service Writer to provide timely and accurate service quotes.
  • Partner with the Safety Director to ensure safe working conditions and training.
  • Administer procedures and report any incidents involving employees or customers.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Service Manager and Office Coordinator to enhance service operations.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures among employees.
  • Implement appropriate disciplinary measures for policy violations.
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring of new service personnel in collaboration with HR.
  • Facilitate team meetings as scheduled.
  • Oversee the Full Maintenance equipment portfolio.
  • Manage service operations to achieve profitable outcomes.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A solid background in forklift or heavy machinery repair is essential. A proven track record in personnel management and strong professional ethics is required for this role. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or GED is required.

Certifications in industrial equipment are preferred.

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license for all equipment.

A valid driver's license is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The role requires the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must demonstrate safe work practices and a proactive attitude. Physical stamina is necessary for continuous movement, including climbing, reaching, pushing, and lifting. The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, or solvents, necessitating knowledge of proper safety protocols.
