Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a full-time Cybersecurity Risk Management Specialist (RMF) to join our team. This role is based in a collaborative environment where you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our network and information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to both internal and external stakeholders, enhancing network and information security systems.
  • Design, develop, and implement security protocols within organizational processes, preparing documentation in accordance with established guidelines such as RMF (Risk Management Framework).
  • Create comprehensive test plans to evaluate security measures.
  • Provide assessment and authorization (A&A) support in developing security and contingency plans, while conducting thorough risk and vulnerability assessments.
  • Review policies and procedures against federal regulations, offering strategic recommendations to address compliance gaps.
  • Develop and finalize system security plans and contingency strategies.
  • Propose enhancements to address security vulnerabilities effectively.
  • Develop, test, and integrate advanced computer and network security tools.
  • Ensure secure system configurations and implement security tools, conducting compliance scans and reporting findings.
  • Conduct security program audits, identifying risks and developing actionable solutions to mitigate them.
  • Support the development and implementation of security architectures to adapt to evolving security needs.
  • Evaluate and enhance security requirements, policies, and tools, assisting in computer incident investigations.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and devise risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with an MS/MA; or 8 to 10 years without a degree.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in executing Risk Management Framework activities.
  • Proven experience in conducting STIG assessments, including the use of SCAP benchmarks.
  • Experience performing vulnerability assessments utilizing the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution tool.
  • Familiarity with eMASS.
  • Experience in developing Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) entries.
  • Experience in completing Risk Management Framework Step 5 authorizations in the Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) role.
  • Ability to communicate risk reduction recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
  • IAT Level II Certification.
  • Minimum certification as 461 (or equivalent) at the Intermediate level per DoDD, or successor.
  • Possession of an active Secret clearance.
