About the Role

Kennedy Jenks is a leading engineering and environmental consulting firm seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of major water-related infrastructure projects in California.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily onsite oversight of contractors and their construction activities under the supervision of the Construction Manager/Resident Engineer.
  • Perform necessary inspections to ensure projects are constructed in compliance with contract requirements and applicable permits.
  • Prepare daily written reports detailing daily activities, labor, and equipment.
  • Track contractor schedule compliance.
  • Coordinate meetings with contractors, clients, and staff.
  • Provide quality control inspection of contractor's work.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience with all facets of construction, including civil, mechanical, and electrical installations.
  • Experience with sewer rehabilitation, municipal projects, water and wastewater pipelines, agriculture pump stations, and/or water or wastewater treatment plants, for both new construction and rehabilitation, is strongly preferred.
  • Certifications for specialty inspections of steel, concrete, welding, coatings, and other aspects of infrastructure projects is a plus.
