Job Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a strategic advisor to the Division Management Team, providing leadership and direction for the implementation and coordination of HR functions. This role will work closely with the Divisional HR Generalist to assist with training and implementing company directives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and respond to employee complaints and issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Record and report case information to management.
  • Provide initial investigation and preparation for issues, including wage and hour claims, EEOC claims, and Civil Rights claims.
  • Assist with training HR Generalists new to the role.
  • Act as liaison between employees and management to answer questions and concerns regarding company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Work with the Sr HR Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures for the field.
  • Manage ADA accommodation requests and related documentation.
  • Administer corporate and retail compensation programs, including performance management, salary administration, and variable pay programs.
  • Handle management counseling on employment actions and policy interpretation.
  • Assist with recruiting activities for the respective divisions.
  • Communicate and manage affirmative action plans (AAP) for relevant areas.
  • Ensure timely and complete yearly reports.
  • Communicate goals to plan managers and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Participate in district and region initiatives, including recruiting, on-boarding, training, associate development, succession planning, and more.
  • Manage mandatory state training through online vendors.
  • Manage all facets of unemployment compensation claims for the respective Division.
  • Provide advance notification to witnesses and follow up.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve overall performance.
  • Take ownership of Human Capital for the respective division and keep management up to date on key metrics.
  • Provide data and potential strategies for improving key areas, such as associate and management turnover.
  • Review policies and procedures and make recommendations for updates.
