About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inside Sales Director to join our team at Lockstep Technology Group. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing a high-performing Inside Sales Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Inside Sales Team: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Inside Sales Team, helping team members understand the company's mission and their role in its success.
  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Work with Sales Team leaders to develop, plan, and implement successful sales strategies to help the organization reach key sales targets.
  • Manage Sales Operations: Run weekly team meetings to review orders, tickets, problems, and process improvements and changes. Maintain and improve analytics related to team successes and failures, and develop strategies to reward success and prevent recurring mistakes.
  • Train and Mentor Team Members: Train and mentor new Inside Sales Representatives, providing guidance and clear instruction on opportunity management, vendor contacts, and manufacturer resources.
  • Provide Escalation Support: Serve as a single-point of escalation for the team, working closely with Sales Leadership, Post-Sales, Operations, and Administration to resolve situations quickly and efficiently.
Account Management
  • Understand and Communicate Procurement Policies: Understand and communicate state procurement policies, equipment state contracts, services, and state contract reporting requirements to the team.
  • Maintain Knowledge of USAC Rules and Regulations: Maintain current knowledge of USAC/ Erate/ Rural Health rules and regulations, and respond correctly to RFPs (470s) as requested by Account Manager.
  • Execute Certifications and Record-Keeping: Execute certifications, maintain records as needed, and understand USAC Invoicing.
Vendor Relations
  • Manufacturing Programs, Promotion, and Incentives: Understand the partner relationship with each manufacturer, including Cisco Systems, HPE, Extreme, Pure, Palo Alto, Microsoft, and VMware, and communicate to the team.
  • Distribution Procedures and Resources: Understand the procedures of specific distributors, including Ingram Micro, TD Synnex, Pax8, and Arrow, and communicate to the team.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications: Five years of ISR experience or direct management experience with ISR.
