Role Overview: The Senior Software Sales Consultant is responsible for formulating and executing the regional strategy for software sales related to Information Solutions and accompanying Network services. This role involves crafting business sales strategies and implementing plans across designated territories to achieve or surpass set revenue and margin targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to ensure revenue targets are met by expanding sales within both new and existing accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, and various lead generation methods.
- Oversee the entire sales process, including lead qualification, product demonstrations, proposal creation, and negotiations.
- Foster strong customer relationships to initiate, maintain, and expand business engagements.
- Collaborate with clients to design tailored solutions that align with their key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Effectively communicate customer requirements to project managers to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Utilize systematic thinking to navigate complex business systems and processes, ensuring effective business acquisition.

- Embrace a learning mindset to understand client businesses and apply consultative selling techniques to offer unique insights into their industry.
- Guide client stakeholders and build consensus for Information Solutions offerings within their organizations.

- Exhibit strong communication skills, adapting messaging for diverse organizational levels.
- Adhere to established CRM processes for sales and communication.
- Document account activities, opportunity statuses, and other pertinent details.
- Create an annual regional business plan with specific revenue and margin objectives.
- Stay informed about industry trends to support investments in talent and resources.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of proven success in selling complex software solutions, preferably SaaS.
- Experience in selling enterprise software applications such as ERP, MES, Supply Chain, or PLM solutions to process manufacturers is advantageous.
- A strong passion for manufacturing and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to systematically analyze problems and hypothesize potential customer challenges and needs.
- Experience leveraging both rational and emotional drivers to facilitate negotiations and set realistic expectations.
- Proven ability to identify key customer stakeholders and build relationships to drive consensus.
- A proactive and independent approach with a strong results-oriented mindset; capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% with overnight stays.
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field is required; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- Direct experience and extensive knowledge of renewable technologies and related systems.
Travel Requirements: Some regional and local travel may be necessary, including overnight stays.
