Job Description

Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Job Summary:

Isidore Newman School is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and rigorous learning environment for children aged six weeks to four years old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning: Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters cognitive and social-emotional learning, aligned with the school's philosophy and standards.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and engaging classroom environment, ensuring the physical and emotional safety of all children.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong relationships with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in a highly rated early childhood education program, with a reflective practice and commitment to lifelong learning.
  • Skills: Ability to facilitate learning, maintain a developmentally appropriate and cognitively engaging classroom environment, and commit to learning and using technology for teamwork and communication.
